Project Specifications & Terms

Every freelance project is different and is priced according to the time, skill set, and amount of original content (graphics, photography and/or copy) required. I charge a per project rate with an estimate provided after we have thoroughly discussed your specific needs and desires. Upon acceptance of a project, be it web design, consulting, or written work, a deposit of 30% is required upon mutual signature of an independent contractor agreement and before work will commence. An additional 30% is due upon the completion of a predetermined set of criteria (site templates, first draft, finalized proposal, etc). The final 40% is due upon the fulfillment of the contract agreement. Any significant change made mid-project will affect the final cost; these adjustments will be discussed before I continue with work.

I take projects on a first-come, first-serve basis but can adjust my schedule for express jobs for an added fee. Web design clients are responsible for added costs of stock photography, software,* or other licensing needs. Clients will be given a copy of all graphics and text files upon completion of the project in addition to a user manual for non-technical updates. Terms of ownership for written materials must be discussed and agreed upon before signing any contract.

Design credit is provided to irmacreative in the code of your external CSS stylesheet (copyright credit is provided to the site owner). The design credit will only be seen by persons who choose to view the source style code of your site. Additional credits (ie. a text link in the copyright notice of your website) is always appreciated but not required.

*"Software" refers to applications needed to run your specific website including licensing a dynamic publishing platform, web hosting, and ftp software for client use not applications needed for graphics and text development.
